Final Field Study Visit

Image
On Tuesday November 22, I took a final visit to my field study location. When I visited it was around 35 degrees out and quite breezy. Again it looks as if more and more leaves are starting to die and fall off. The other vegetation is also dying as you can see in the pictures. The sun rose at 7:46 and set at 5:17  which means the sun was up for a total 9 hours 31 minutes. The length of the day has shrunk since last time but not significantly. Only by 23 minutes compared to the hours we were loosing earlier on in the study. Sketch of a Fallen Leaf All 6 Field Study Pictures (Most Recent to Least Recent)  =

Fifth Field Study

On Friday November 11 I took my fifth trip down to my field study location. I went down there at around 2:15. It was quite cold and breezy when I went down there. On the last field study I pointed out that the leaves had changed colors. Now they are starting to die and fall off same with the plants they are starting to die. The temperature was around 44° and the day lasted from 7:32 AM to 5:27 PM for a day length of 9 hours 54 minutes. This has since the last post the length of day has gone down by about an hour but that could be due to daylight saving time.

Fourth Field Study

In the afternoon of Sunday the 23rd I visited my field study area once more. It was quite warm and dry when I went down, but there was a small consistent breeze. On the last visit some of the leaves had changed colors and now all of the leaves have changed color. I also noticed that some of the plants are very brown and brittle. The temperature when I went down was 70°. The sun rose at 7:08 A.M and set at 5:51 P.M which means that the sun was out for 10 hours and 43 minutes. On the last post the sun was out for 11 ish hours so its gone down by another 15 minutes.

Third field study 10/12

On the night of October the 12th I went down to my field study location. I went down at 8:45 P.M. In the wooded area to the west of my location I heard a lot of crunching and brushing together  of plants. To the east of my location many crickets were chirping. It was extremely cool and slightly windy. Couldn't see the greatest but I think I saw a deer in the field near my location and the plants grew a bit more. The ground was mushy and the plants were still wet from the earlier in the day when it rained. It was 45° when I went. The sun rose at 7:55 AM and set at 7:08 PM so the sun stayed in the sky for 11 hours and 13 minutes. The daylight time has gone down severely since I last went. Earlier is was around 12 hours now it's down to 11 ish hours. Below I did sound map of my area. Some of the arrows are pointing off screen because I could faintly hear those things in the distance. The areas circles were nearer to me and I could hear them much better. And though the screenshot...

Second Field Study 9/25

Image
On Sunday the 25th at around 4:30 I took a second trip to my field study location.  It was around 62° when I visited and it had been raining earlier so the ground was mushy and the plants were wet, but when I went it was clearing up and the sun was starting to come out from behind some clouds. It was also windy and cool. The plants look like they have grow a bit but not a ton. I saw quite a few birds flying through the sky and heard many bugs buzzing around. On Sunday you could actually see the stream if you went into the brush a bit.The sun rose at 7:36 AM and set at 7:38 PM so it stayed up for around 12 hours.
